This is the last full week of work before Chinese factories shut down for the Chinese New Year Holiday. Factories are now in full swing making last minute orders that must ship this weekend, so getting quotes for new items or even placing new orders will be dicey at best. The air carriers like UPS and Fedex usually get backed up too.
After this weekend, many companies won’t return until the third week of February. A few take even longer. This also means that normal shipments and production won’t really resume until early March. Please keep this in mind when planning your production schedules.
