In May I visited China. One hot, humid afternoon, after having lunch, I spied a cage across the alley from the restaurant that appeared to have a snake. As I approached the cage the snake lifted its head and flared its hood – a cobra. I didn’t want to freak it out (or me, for that matter) and stayed a respectful distance away.

.I can’t imagine that they’d want to eat a cobra, but you never know…
